Testing Kubernetes deployment
This post indicates that my experiments with Kubernetes are beginning to grow fruit. I’ve long been of the opinion that Kubernetes is a cargo cult. Unfortunately, it seems to be impossible to work in this industry without knowing how to operate it, though, so that’s what I’m doing here and now. The fact that you’re reading this now proves that I managed to wire the whole shebang together. Did my opinion change? Not exactly. I still think Kubernetes is incredibly dangerous, in the same way UNIX is.
So now that this is running, I’m going to do some small write-ups on what I had to do to get here. That’s for another day, though. For now I’m moderately pleased with myself that it’s all working at all because of the massive underlying complexity. Let’s see how this setup holds under any kind of serious load.
